Question #557

From "The Book of Questions" by Gregory Stock, PH.D

Q #89

Where would you choose to be if you could place yourself anywhere on a scale from one to ten, where one is hardship, struggle, and extraordinary accomplishment and ten is comfort, peace of mind, and no accomplishment.

Why?

Where are you now?

I would think I am about 5 or 6 and I am perfectly content with that. I like to accomplish things and I do, but I would never want to have no ability to strive for something. I do think it is in our nature to survive without having something to work for or strive for.

I should have said, "I don't think it is in our nature..."

I think I am at a 6 or so, and I would take a 3-4 as long as none of the struggle or hardship involves my family.

I'd say I am sitting pretty at a 5 or a 6. And I am pretty much where I want to be, thank you very much!

If I could choose? Oh, I would want to be a 10 because if I could have comfort and peace of mind, that would be a great accomplishment!!!!

Where am I now? I think I'm closer to a 4 or 5. I think I have had some great accomplishments and we are not struggleing too much these days.

At this stage I'm about a 4-6. Given any day I can change. Still in a struggle...I have kids at home.
