The alarm goes off at 6 am, I hit the snooze 3 times (for 10 minutes each), and then get up.
My lovely bride & I feed the animals. I get the paper and she makes the kids lunch.
I have my V8 & vitamins. We both drink coffee and read the paper. then go shower and get ready for work.
On weekends, we get up when we want - other than that, the routine is about the same (no lunch for the kid however)
During the week I awake at 6-6:10 am depending on how long I lay in bed after the alarm (radio) goes off. My weekly morning routine is very predicatable.
Saturday I'm up at 7 am to make the 8 am breakfast club unless there is something/someplace I need to be before that time.
Sundays are TOTALLY flexible on wake-up time and activities.
I can not predict the future even if I'll make it too retirement so why bother asking or answering.
The only constant in my morning routine is every morning is different with too many variables to explain.
No alarm (except if I have to catch a plane)
Get my cuppa java, curl up in my chair, read the paper--visit with DH and plan the day. If nothing on agenda....hit the shower and play it by ear!
Yup....we're retired...did it early and boy are we glad!

Weekday: Alarm: 5 am - snooze twice, let the pups out, PEF feeds the pups, I shower....Dress, Makeup, Hair, do clothing inventory (I worry about leaving the house without shoes or other required clothing), get in already running vehicle that PEF is waiting in, stop at McD's for lg diet coke & sausage egg and cheese McMuffin, switch drivers at PEF's work, get to the office at 7 am. From then on, it is much more borning.
Saturday: Wake up to pups wanting to go out (6 to 7 am), feed pups, decide what and were we are doing that day.
Sunday: Wake up around 7:30, go to Mom & Dad's for breakfast.
Oh retirment will be like a Saturday everyday probably. But at this rate, I may never get to retire!!!!!
Alarm is at 5:45. I hit it several times. Shower, teeth, hair, meds, dress, out the door with the girl. Granola bar and yogurt in the car on the way to school.
Wish I could do the coffee thing.
***big sigh***
Read RantMaster's post as he had me covered there, too.
Retirement will be more like the weekends ... no alarm involved!!
