Q #90
If you could choose the sex and physical appearance of your soon-to-be-born child, would you do it?
To ensure that your baby would be born bright, attractive, and healthy, would you use safe medical procedure to genetically alter the developing embryo?

Yes, I would. Attractive people have a leg up on everyone else in this world.
Just ask me, I know.
No.
And I don't think so. But maybe. The healthy part would be the best benefit. Attractive isn't that important. What is attractive today, might not be tomorrow.
Yes - all of this was addressed in Aldous Huxleys' book 'Brave New World'. It is only a issue of time before the evolution of the human race is accelerated by genentic modification. In the future unless it is against the law, people will be genetically modified to deal with environments, like the Planet Mars. Even if it is illegal, once the technology is out there, others will do it even though it is against the law. It will be like speeding, everyone does it but doesn't like to be caught doing it.
Sure, there are some dumb, butt ugly kids out there...take it from me I've met some of them
I agree with Patr .... what is considered attractive today could change in a flash ....
What would it be like ... here is a menu of choices?? Eye Color? Hair color and texture? height? Weight? Build? IQ? etc ...
Check off what you want?
Hmmmm ....
Dangerous waters, I'd say ....
I wouldn't but I already have 4 cute and intelligent children. Okay my 19 year old son could stand some improvement in the "common sense" catagory ....
Isn't part of life dealing with the cards your delt?
