Let's say NASA develops a new Space Shuttle and has several successful flights with it.
You are offered a chance to ride along on the next flight of the new shuttle .... would you go?
Why or why not??
Just things I wonder about ... and some people are nice enough to answer. You are welcome to answer, too ... just click on "Comments" and off you go! I would absolutely go - even without a new shuttle. I would have gone last week on the Discovery if I could have.
I want to see this grain-of-sand by-galactic-standards from the outside, and contemplate the vastness, emptiness, and grandeur of the cosmos "billions and billions of stars" (who did I just misquote?)
Carl Sagan .... was it a misquote?
I would love to go ... I would love to view earth from space. I would love to feel weightless!!
I wonder if space travel will eventually be as commonplace as airline travel is today.
Absolutement! Sign me up! I wanna go...wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! What an adventure that would be.
I would love to go! But I am starting to think NASA and the words "successful Space Shuttle" may be mutally exclusive! (But I'm just cynical these days! LOL)
And the world's next new reality tv show...the Love Shuttle starring Captain Bronco, with his lovely wife, Cin...Dougie as the ship chef...I could go on all day with the characters!
Actually...that might make for good tv...lock a bunch of strangers up in a zero gravity chamber and make them think they are being sent into outer space...hang on while I call Fox!
I think I'd just wait for the IMAX movie...
=)
The only way i would go is if i was knocked out when the shuttle was taking off.
Nah. I don't know why?? It just doesn't excite me.
I would go (assuming I could find someone to take care of the cats while I'm gone) even if nothing was changed. I firmly believe that when it's your time to go you are gonna go whether it be in a space shuttle or in an arguement with the mayor.
Oh yeah. I'd be there in a heartbeat.
Nope.
I irritate enougn people being a nervous passenger in a car...can you imagine how impressed an astronaut would be with me?
Where do I show up?
List my name on top of the list. Sign me up. Beam me up. Whatever, I'm there.
To see the glory that is our Earth would be a thrill I could not pass up. I don't get air sick. Could dig weightlessness. I hear the view is a killer.
Where do I apply?
