I would have liked to have been an adult during the 1950s and 1960s. Life was very simple, not as hectic. There were more opportunities to have a GOOD life. I definitely would have liked to have taught during that time. Can you imagine? Complete respect for the teachers and less paperwork? More time to teach and touch lives.

I would like to have been in my adult prime during the American Revolution, and gotten a chance to meet our Founding Fathers.

It would be cool to have a good political discussion with them.

I wouldn't go back in time unless women were treated better. I can't think of any time they were so I guess I'm staying here.

FLORIDAGIRL DID YOU SPEND THE 50'S
AND 60'S HIDING OUT UP IN CANADA
WITH SOME OF THE DRAFT DODGERS?????
THE FIFTIES WE GOT STOMPED BY THE
KOREANS [TIE AT LEAST] 60'S THE VIETNAMESE STOMPED ALL OVER US, SOMEWHERE IN THERE THE PRESIDENT
WE HAD AT THE TIME GOT HIS HEAD BLOWN OFF. AND YOU SAY IT WAS A SIMPLE QUIET LIFE. SURE HOPE THIS

'CAUSE I HAD NO PROBLEMS OR WORRIES
LIKE I DO TODAY.

Okay, there is not really a time in the past I would want to go back too. A. I love Air Conditioning. B. Indoor plumbing (need I say more?) C. COMPUTERS and the INTERNET? Answering this would have been impossible 20 years ago via the internet... we would have had to send it 'snail mail'....

So in response "Remember yesterday fondly, anticipate tomorrow, but don't forget to live today!!!!"

To Gumdrop:
I know those things happened but I mean economic opportunities were better, you didn't have to have a master's degree to get a good job and for those who were at home, it was an idyllic time. Believe me, I know about the wars of the 50s and 60s, both my parents were civilian contractors for the military and I grew up by the largest air force base in the world.

I would have wanted to live from the panic of 1873 through the end of the WWII. Reason: Lots of trains, jazz and the height of America’s industrial revolution.
