Hmmmm, let me ponder that for a while.

Geez, there are so many.

Gosh, I hardly know where to begin.

Should I use that one? No.

Or how about that one? No definitely not.

NONE!

Phew! Thank god my conscience is clear now.

Lamblasting you all for being the bleeding heart liberals you are and continuing to perpetuate the 'same ole'-same ole' that in our culture permits people to commit heinous crimes of economic proportion, and yet get a slap on the wrist while millions, if not billions are placed into worse financial servitude. It is as if George Orwells Animal Farm is alive and well in America and you PEF are the ones who allow it too perpetuate with your punishment fits the crime b.s.

Fuld collapsed Lehman Brothers, currenlty walking free with golden parachute. The former CEO of AIG, walking free with golden parachute. If they had gone into a bank and handed the teller a note they'd be in jail, yet since they were the dipsh*ts that ran the corporation into the proverbail deck, they get to parachute out leaving the passengers to deal with the crash!

Our outreach programs, such as the low cost medications to Africa to stem the tide of HIV/Aids which threatens to consume the whole continent, shelved due to lack of funds now. There are people in America out there starving as shown on TV where Feed the Children has to show up in rural communities to prevent malnutrition. The pain and suffering of millions if not a Billion people as a result of the global recession/depression. Rich people are afraid of dying, poor starving people are afriad of living.

All of this is attributable to the economic collapse perpetrated by a handfull of CEO's of major corporations and banks and yet you steadfastly stick to your 'civilized' code of 'the punishment fits the crime'.

Extraordinary times require extraordinary circumstances. We used it to go into Afghanistan, and I doubt anyone reading this can't remember why we went into Afghanistan.

Melamine finds it's way into our food, China either shoots the person in charge, or the perp does everyone a favor and does him/herself in. Justice done on a personal level.

Thats the temptation that's hardest to overcome, lamblasting you dudley do righters about giving these folks a trip on our dime to the pen instead of frying their ass on TV for the next generation to make note of and finally get this nation back on the course it needs to be on - Justice done right!

Bleeding Heart Liberal - Hugh if you even believe in a true conservative, capitalist society, which IS one of the founding principals of what this country was created for, then you would realize that there are NO LAWS in this land that prevent a CEO, a management team or even the rank and file workers from running a company into the ground, whether by their own greed, ineptitude or malicious intent.

In a free, capitalist society, even you Hugh could go out and start a business, build it up and then thrash it into oblivion if you want to and you are well within your rights to do so.

But like Milken, Fuld, Keaten and Madoff, even you Hugh dont have the right to break the laws of this land, including the right to due process, a fair trial of your peers and just punishment from a jury or judicial verdict.

You say our culture permits heinous crimes and then yields a slap on the wrist to the offenders, yes in some cases it does and that is a shame, but I defy you to find a culture throughout the breadth of human history that hasn't done the same thing. No culture in human history has ever administered justice the same way every time.

So its time for you to move to another country because you clearly no longer believe in the laws that our founding fathers laid down in the constitution.

Nor are you willing to rationally discuss them.

You lashed out at the management of your company the other day, I wonder if you have tried to start your own business, run your own business and make those business decisions from a management perspective. I am not talking about the abuses and excesses here either, I am talking about walking in their shoes. Viewing the problems they face from their perspective.

The founding fathers struggled with one main theme in the framing of our constitution and the federalist papers are rife with examples, this theme is Tolerance. Tolerance for each other, tolerance for religious beliefs, tolerance for the right to defend oneself, tolerance for the rights of the citizens vs. the governmental power and many other things.

An before you twist this into some perverted viewpoint, I am not speaking about tolerance for wrongdoing, for breaking the law or committing crimes, I am talking about the very central theme in all of the constitition, the Tolerance of Ideas.

But before you blame me for the ills of our nation, look within my friend. Because if you truly believe I have culpability, then so do you!

Like you, I got to work everyday and do my job to the best of my ability to care for my family. I pay my taxes and I participate in my community and I care for those around me. I try to be fair and honest in all of my dealings. I dont cheat or lie to people. I have never had a criminal arrest nor participated in any criminal activity. I served my country for 10 years in the U.S. Navy as a Russian and Spanish Linguist, holding a position of trust with a Top Secret Security Clearance.

I am a registered Republican though I do not vote the party line. I am conservative in my values when it comes to the size and scope of government, the role of the military and its funding, and my belief in the free market economy. I am more liberal than I am conservative when it comes to protecting those rights and civil liberties guaranteed under the Constitution that I took an oath to uphold and defend.

If that pisses you off, I am sorry but that is your issue. I will not lose any sleep over that.

PEF - it is the unabated capitalistic greed that you so endorse that got us here. I do not profess socialism, but after having lived in Germany 8 years, I must admit that it has it's virtues in certain quartiles.

All of the people you mentioned,
and those not mentioned; knowing and with depraved indifference did pilot their 'aircraft' into a non-recoverable dive, jumped out with their 'golden parachute' and left the likes of you and I to bear the brunt of the crash. Millions, if not Billions are suffering as a result of a relatively few morally depraved capitalistic greed mongers. The victims of this have either killed themselves, and some of those living are still pondering it. I don't see you all that concerned about the afflicted despite your penchant for soap boxing the law and immorality of suicide.

Running a company intentionally into bankruptcy is against the law, thats why we have Sarbanes-Oxley, and Anti-Trust legislation going as far back as the 1920's in order to prevent just that from happening. But to perpetrate a financial calamity of this proportion in my opinion deserves the death penalty. Black Sabbath could just as well rewrite 'War Pigs' and name it 'Financial Pigs' and it would top the charts. Just yesterday Liddy of AIG read aloud emails from malcontents expressing opinions exactly like those here. We are now the majority and want not just answers, we want to see the perps dead.

Those that perpetrated this financial debacle, those mentioned and those not mentioned should do the right thing like a chinese officiate and kill themselves and save us the dog and pony show to get them there.

It wasn't that long ago in the anals of time where if you stole a persons horse you were killed. Thats the kind of justice we need. Extraordinary circumstances require extraordinary actions.

I have no intention of harming animal or man. I have not sent hate mail to any person as a result of the morass we ALL find ourselves in.

I will volunteer for any legitimately legal and government endorsed firing squad. Remember Gary Gilmore?

If you can't endure my points, I emplore you to beg Cindy to stop distributing the daily too me, otherwise agree to disagree. My opinion of this 'Financial Pig' mess will not change.

Well Hugh then I suggest you pick up your rifle, pistol or whatever weapon you are allowed under the constitution and laws of this land and go execute your justice on Mr. Libby and all of the people responsible for this calamity. Execute your justice as you see fit! Once you are done, you will have earned the right to join them all the people you despise so well in Hell. Because you live in a state were WE DO execute people.

So I DO DISAGREE but maybe I somehow haven't stated it strongly enough!

Hugh, as a footnote, and certainly not to exonerate him in anyway, but I am curious what could have possibly motivated the people that invested with Madoff? Hmmmmm?

Business 101 - Caveat Emptor!

Business 102 - If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
